As a DAW, Ableton is very well-renowned, and one of the best ones on the market according to many music producers, both professionals, and amateurs. But if Ableton is a DAW, and not a DJ software, why do we include it on our list? Ableton Live 10 is perfect if you want to kill two birds with one stone. Not all DJs/musicians like the idea of spending lots of money on two different software, which you traditionally must do if you both want to be able to DJ as well as record and create music on your computer.
It's limitless for making anything you dare to create. It's price for software + plugins is $999 So for royalty free loops and a nice easy to use interface, Magix is a good software to mess with when you're bored. I've used previous versions of Magix over the years and always enjoyed just playing around with it. With FL Studio you can do as I have with a Midi keyboard and few other tools and create studio, commercial quality music. Anyhow, at $50, it's a steal for Magix. Unfortunately steam is the wrong platform to sell it on where everyone expects everything under $20. Producing music isn't cheap.
I am not 100% certain that I have the talent, time or desire to be, like, a full time 'Band' or anything. If I produce something people like enough that I can get paid something for it, sweet deal. No illusions or delusions though. Just a little bit of desire to try my hand at something new. FLS was a steal at the price I got it for. I should have just plunged in 10 years ago but I had other priorities at that time in my life. I feel a little lost in FLS, but I will catch on.
